Apple Bread
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup apples, chopped and peeled
1 cup chopped pecans
2-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter and
sugar in a large bowl and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg and
beat until well blended. Add chopped apples and pecans. Mix together
flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and add alternately with the buttermilk
to the apple mixture.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-by-5-inch
loaf pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted
comes out clean. |
