Molasses Taffy
2 cups sorghum molasses
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
4 tablespoons butter
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cook sorghum molasses, sugar and water to hard-boil stage, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat; add butter, baking soda and vanilla. Pour into well-greased pan.

For variety, put black walnuts in the bottom of the pan.
