Venison Swiss Steak
1 to 1-1/2 pounds venison round steak
Salt and pepper
Flour
Oil
1 can French onion soup
1 can water
1/3 cup flour
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup mustard of choice
Medium onion, cut into slices
Sprinkle salt and pepper on round steaks. Dredge
in flour and, using a meat hammer, beat steaks to tenderize. Brown
steaks in oil and place in large casserole dish.
Next, mix French onion soup, water, flour Worcestershire
sauce and mustard and pour over the steaks. Top this with slices
of onion.
Place cover on casserole dish and bake at 250
degrees for 4 hours (this recipe can also be prepared in a crockpot
if desired.)
